Yes, we care a lot about your strength, speed, and endurance—but that’s just one piece of the puzzle. Great athletes take care of their whole lifestyle: how they talk to themselves, how they sleep, how they eat, and how they set goals. That’s why we don’t just coach workouts—we help you build better habits. From day one, we’ll help you train your mindset just like you train your muscles. Since the beginning, Training Think Tank has had the phrase corpus animus on our seal. It means body and mind. We believe that’s what real fitness is all about.
We don’t try to copy your sport movements in the gym. You won’t see us strapping you to a pulley and mimicking a golf swing. Instead, we might use a kneeling cable chop to train your body’s ability to rotate with strength and control. That’s because we’re not here to coach your technique—we’re here to build the engine that powers it. For example, if you’re a lacrosse player who wants to throw harder shots, your coaches will help you with your form. We’ll work behind the scenes to help your nervous system create more speed, power, and control so that you can perform better when you hit the field
You might want to lift heavy or test your max right away—but we’re going to slow things down and do it right. We’re known for helping athletes stay healthy and strong over the long haul. That means we’ll teach you good technique, help your body grow in the right way, and slowly add intensity when you’re ready. That might not feel exciting at first, but it leads to better results and fewer injuries. Our goal isn’t just for you to be great now—it’s for you to still be strong and healthy when you’re 30, 40, or 50.
