Max El-Hag founded Training Think Tank in 2013.  He built the business with the mission of training world class athletes, professionalizing the fitness coaching market, and providing high quality information to the general public.  What started as an idea with a small team has now proliferated into a coaching organization that now lives and breathes that purpose.

From the perspective of world class athletics, he has been involved in research or direct coaching of athletes that have participated in the CrossFit Games, UFC, NFL, MLB, high level military selection teams, and a variety of other sports.  He is most known in the coaching space for working with Travis Mayer and Noah Ohlsen for a combined 14 CrossFit Games appearances and a second place finish at the 2019 Games.

While building his personal coaching reputation, he mentored a group of high level thinkers in the coaching space to justify the name 'think tank' on the brand. As of 2023 the company employs 14 coaches who have hundreds of cumulative years of coaching athletes in the sport of CrossFit at every level from the new affiliate member all the way up the ladder to the dedicated sport competitors.

As knowledge was being accumulated through his own personal experience and his interaction with his coaches, the team at Training Think Tank created content for their YouTube channel and podcast to disseminate the lessons learned in coaching to the greater fitness community.

Along with Max's pursuits as a coach and entrepreneur, he maintains an intense physical training practice in CrossFit, martial arts, and golf.  These three physical hobbies help him focus his creative and competitive energy.

Outside of training Max likes to chill at home with his four dogs, loved ones, and in his hot tub.
