KYLE RUTH

COACH & DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION

Kyle Ruth has been a sports-performance coach at TTT since its inception in 2013. Over the last 17+ years of coaching he has worked with a range of athletes from recreational competitors to CrossFit Games and Olympic athletes. HIs primary coaching focus is helping athletes make transitions to new levels of performance, regardless of where they are starting. This is highlighted by the fact that he has produced 9x first-time CrossFit Games competitors in every competitive division at the Games.

Kyle’s educational path has always focused on coaching and sports performance. He received a bachelors in Exercise Science from Indiana University in 2008 and a masters in Applied Sport Science in 2011. The focus of his graduate work was on the application of speed and power training to enhance performance for competitive swimmers. Since then he has spent thousands of hours on continuing education, mentorship, and helping to guide developing coaches.

As an athlete, Kyle continues to compete in the sport of CrossFit as a masters athlete. In 2021 he qualified and competed at the CrossFit Games as a member of the TTT Team. During the early years of the sport he qualified and competed at 4x CrossFit Regionals from 2012-2015.

Prior to finding CrossFit Kyle was a competitive swimmer, qualifying for multiple USA Swimming Nationals between 2004-2011, with the highlight being competing in the 2009 World Championship Trails in Indianapolis. During his swimming career he set multiple state records and won a high-school state title in the 50y Freestyle in 2003.

Kyle’s favorite things outside of training include hiking and camping with his family, and attending Dave Matthews concerts with his wife, Haley.
